Car Insurance
Car Groups
What are insurance groups, and how do they affect me?
Your choice of car will affect your insurance premium, cars of a higher group will mean a higher premium. Generally car groups indicate the risk to an insurer of covering a particular vehicle. The higher the car group, the higher the premium you will be charged.
As you move up into the highest car groups including luxury and performance cars, certain restrictions will apply. Your excess may well increase and there might be compulsory security and parking requirements.
Different insurance companies use different car group scales and so one vehicle might be quite acceptable to one insurance company but not with another. Endsleigh have a panel of insurance schemes with many variants on how the same vehicle may be rated.
